About the Association
The Southend East and Rochford Conservative Association represents the Conservative Party across the parliamentary constituency of Southend East and Rochford. We have several councillors representing the Party across the three local authorities that span over the constituency, being Essex County Council, Southend-on-Sea City Council, and Rochford District Council. There are also several parish councils in the district of Rochford.
The Association exists to:
- Promote the Conservative cause within the constituency;
- Campaign to elect a Conservative Member of Parliament and Conservative councillors on Essex County Council, Southend-on-Sea City Council, and Rochford District Council;
- Raise funds for the Conservative Party and the Association;
- Organise local political and social activities;
- Select the prospective parliamentary candidate;
- Select local government candidates.
The Association is run on a day-to-day basis by the officer team, led by the Chairman, who are elected once a year at the Annual General Meeting by all members. Decisions are made by the Executive Council, made up of members and the officer team. For further details on the officers, including their contact details, please visit our "Officers & Councillors" section.
